DIY Taco Bell Crunchwrap

You know those Crunchwrap Supremes that Taco Bell makes? Well here's my DIY version!
I started out by slightly frying flour tortillas in butter, just enough to brown them and add a slight crunch, but still pliable enough to fold. Once browned, I set them aside and cooked up the meat.
I used sukiyaki meat for mine but it would work with really any kind of shredded or ground meat.
I added Alfredo sauce to the meat and seasoned them up to a slight spice (Cajun, Black Pepper). Once cooked through I added a spoon of the meat mix to the middle of my tortillas and topped with Pepper Jack Cheese. I folded edges up and topped worth some more cheese, placing the cheese in the folded areas for maximum hold once melted. I then baked them in the oven til they reach the golden color I wanted, and were crunchy enough to my liking.

They came out really tasty! Top with shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, guacamole, olives, ect. and you have one tasty meal!

Recycling Bumper Stickers-USA Map

I often receive Bumper Stickers in the mail but I don't always have a use for them. I don't collect them to place on my car..I collect them to cut them up and use them for other things! I was beginning to get a large collection of Bumper Sticker clippings so I decided it was time to put them to use! My son is getting older so he doesn't quite like "sticker parties" like he use to...so I had to think of another idea ;)
I came up with this!!

I drew a sad quick drawing of the United States (with white paper on Oregon-where I'm from & white paper on Texas-where my hubby is from) and used cut out letters from Bumper Stickers to make the States names! It was very time consuming, especially with the tiny pieces, but it was good teaching for my son. Not only did he learn about the States and which was what, but he also practiced reading and spelling, sounding out the word and trying to figure how to spell the State name! Half way through, I realized the stickers weren't wanting to stay on the brown paper... :/ So I ended up "painting" them all down with clear sparkly nail polish. Poor decision of "paint" but that's the 1st thing I could think of for what I had on hand lol. After it was all said and done though...I realized I could've made a paste of glue and water to paint over them. It would have been a lot less stinky that's for sure! lol. But it is finished and turned out pretty decent I think..despite the state shapes and occasional mess up haha...And I forgot to add Alaska and Hawaii so it looks like it's not quite finished... ;)

It is now hanging as a piece of art in my sons room. He loves it.

Bisquick Mug Cake+Recipe

I love trying out new recipes for these easy microwave mug cakes (search mug cakes or microwave on my blog to see all I've made so far!) and came across one at Kirbie Cravings, where you use Bisquick as the main ingredient! To make this cake you need:

5 1/2 tbsp Bisquick
4 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp oil
3 1/2 tbsp milk
1 medium egg
splash of vanilla
8 blueberries

I didn't have blueberries so I just made the cake without them. You mix all these ingredients together in your coffee cup, whisk until all lumps are gone and bake in microwave for 1 1/2-3 minutes .. I suggest using a larger mug so you don't have overflow issues like I did. Insert toothpick to test when done and let cool before eating. I think this cake would be wonderful with whip cream and berries. Since I didn't have those on hand, I ate it as is, sharing with my family and they all said it was pretty good!

Donkey Kong 80's Movie Night Review

We had a Donkey Kong 80's Movie Night thanks to ChildsPlay Communications sending this fun kit! The kit was enclosed with a variety of 80's themed materials including:
hand gloves for 3 people, two pairs of shutter shades, two wrist slap bracelets,
jelly bracelets, an I <3 80's pin, and the new Donkey Kong Country film!

Donkey Kong Country is a brand new movie that came out on August 20, 2013. It is a cartoon series based on the Donkey Kong video game, that comes to life in a CGI animated movie featuring Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and more. In the movie, the bad guy, King K. Rool attempts an attack to steal the Crystal coconut, by cloning Candy Kong as an evil robot, who then trims Donkey Kong's hair and puts a hex on him, removing all of his strength, leaving the Crystal coconut unprotected. Time is running at, as Cranky searches for an antidote for Kong, hoping to find it quickly, before King K. Rool and his Kremlins succeeds with his next attack!

We, especially my son, enjoyed watching Donkey Kong Country. My husband was pleased to hear a movie was made of it, as he use to love watching Donkey Kong as a kid, and now he can share it with our son, making nostalgia come to life!
Like the picture to the left, of us posing in our super cool 80's gear, wearing Donkey Kong masks?? I printed them out from colouring-page.org
I remember playing Donkey Kong on the Nintendo 64, racing with my cousin, collecting bananas and flying in barrels. I don't remember the tv show of Donkey Kong, but I'm really glad www.kaboom-ent.com brought it back in movie form, so kids of the 2000's can experience the fun too! The film had a few singing  parts, which I didn't expect but my husband said the old school Donkey Kong normally did too. I think this is a great film for kids and Donkey Kong lovers alike.

Donkey Kong Country runs 90 minutes and can be watched in English and Spanish. It is available for purchase of $9.99 retail price, in Walmart, Target and other major retailers.

Listerine/Vinegar Footsoak

So there has been a lot of hype of the Listerine and Vinegar foot soak people have been doing, said to rid your feet of all that dry skin. Well I gave it a try because the heels of my feet have been dry lately. You mix a cup of mouthwash, a cup of vinegar and two cups of water then soak! Some say soak for 10 minutes, some say 20, and some even did it for an hour! I soaked mine for 20 minutes and in the end, I didn't notice a difference. I enjoyed the minty waft of air while soaking, and the relaxation of sitting back, but I don't see this remedy to fix dry feet. It seems to work for some while it does nothing for the other. The only difference I found was my feet were softer for the night, but that happens when you soak your feet in even just water! :)

Have you tried this footsoak?
If so please share your outcome!

Beary Book Day+Bear Food

It seems our past week was a Beary kind of week! We watched Arctic Tale and read several Bear books, including Bear Says Thanks, Two Hungry Bears, and Big Smelly Bear.

I thought it'd be fun to make my lil man a Beary lunch too! :) The bear is a flattened hamburger bun, toasted slightly with melted butter and cinnamon sugar. The ears are banana slices, eyes are raisins and the nose is a big blueberry! Sided with strawberries and cheezit crackers to spell Bear! Super cute and super fun!

Wine Wear Review

Going to a party? Forgot to get a gift for your friend? Grab a bottle of wine or sparkly beverage and dress it up with Wine Wear! Wine Wear is a wine accessory company that specializes in greeting cards tailored to fit a wine bottle, as well as non adhesive, reusable decals for wine glasses and custom outfits for wine bottles. Make each holiday that much more fun, by decorating your drinking too!

I received the "Thanks A Bunch" Wine Wear, that I placed over sparkling apple grape juice, for a great gift idea for the non wine drinkers as well. I love how the back of the shirt has a place to write who the bottle is to and from, as well as a spot to write a small message. This could be something you bring to a party, or even something you would leave on your friend or neighbors doorstep! While looking through the other Wine Wear shirt cards, I love the tux, griller and skeleton. There's something for every occasion! And the custom wine outfits are just too funny!

You can find several different designs at Wine Wear, Inc with a retail price of $3.49 each. And if you purchase the Live Love Laugh design, all sales of that go to a donated cancer charity.

Be sure to visit Wine Wear on Facebook and Twitter as well!

CrazyDog T-Shirts

Crazy Dog T-Shirts are some of the funniest around! These shirts originated back in 2004, by the founder, Bill Kingston. He began making t-shirts in his Ithaca College Dorm Room and started selling 5-6 simple screen printed designs for a project in his e-Commerce class. People liked his shirts so much, Bill continued to get orders in for shirts to be made. In 2006 Bill and his wife, Brie, moved their t-shirt headquarters into a small office in the city of Rochester, NY. Being a full time job, in 2012 they moved their business into a 7000 square foot shipping warehouse that has full service custom screen printing with a total of 17 employees. Bill Kingston is proof that your dreams can come true. Sometimes you have to start off small to grow into the true vision you have!

Crazy Dog T-Shirts specialize in funny and vintage apparel, with all kinds of designs to choose from in several sizes for Men, Women, Maternity and Children's so there's something for everyone! You can also have the option to design your own t-shirt with Crazy Dog, which would be great for those family reunions, parties, and if you just want to own your own unique shirts! Crazy Dog also partners with other shirt companies like Junk Food Clothing, Ripple Junction, David & Goliath, and Goodie Two Sleeves.

I was given the chance to review a shirt from Crazy Dog, as well as some shirts from their partnered companies. CrazyDogTshirts.com sent the super cute "Tea Rex" tshirt that I picked for my husband. I love the picture of the t-rex holding a cup of tea, wearing a monocle and mustache. The fabric is super soft cotton, very lightweight and breathable. It is available in Men, Women and youth, in all sizes, printed on a bright green tee. I washed and dried this shirt thinking if it shrinks then I could snag it..muhahaha, but it actually didn't shrink much at all! Which I guess is a good thing, for my husband ;) Next I chose the Ninja In Training shirt from MaternityShirt.com, I will either give this to a pregnant friend or keep it for my future self ;) This shirt is also a soft and lightweight cotton, but it feels slightly like spandex, being stretchy, which is good for a growing belly but it is made to be form fitting so it feels on the smaller side. It runs from size small up to x-large and its hem rounds out on the bottom to enhance the growing belly. Next I chose the Zombie Robot shirt from ZombieRescueStation.com hence the website name, they special in zombie clothing lol. This is another shirt I chose for my husband because he's more into the Zombie theme then I am... but this Zombie robot, or "Zobot" as they call it, is kinda cute dontcha think?  And it matches my husband perfectly since he's into technical/computer stuff. It's printed on a red, soft cotton shirt, also lightweight and breathable. Next I chose the My Happy Place shirt from SaintPatrickDayShirts.com a great site in choosing that perfectly funny Leprechaun like shirt for the holiday! I like this one I chose because I could wear it year round if I wanted to! It's soft and comfortable just like the other shirts :) And it comes in size small to 4XL! Lastly, I chose a t-rex shirt for my son, at NachoMamaTees.com My son loves dinosaurs so I let him choose the shirt he wanted and he chose this T Rex May Scare Children tee. It doesn't appear on their site anymore so I'm not sure if it's still available, but they have a ton of cute shirts from kids to adults. Their getting new ones all the time, like this super adorable Mr. T Rex one. If they had this when my son chose his shirt, I'm almost positive he would have chosen it! He loves Mr. T and mixing it with another love of his, the t rex, he would so own this! For the shirt he received, I chose a size small in youth which is a size 6-8 because the xs is size 2-4 which would be too small, or on the verge of too small, as my son is in a size 5/6. So it's slightly too big but he can grow into it just fine! He loves it and says it's really comfortable.

Each of these companies makes amazing t shirts with several designs to choose from. I love a lot of the shirts I came across and with a price of $16.99 a shirt, it isn't too bad! I feel the quality seems really good and the comfort of these shirts are impressive! If you're looking for a super soft and unique change to your wardrobe, definitely check these sites out and purchase yourself a new t shirt!

Old Navy Gift Card!

Through Crowdtap, I won the Crowd Drawing for July and won a $10 Gift card to Old Navy!!

There's not a whole lot you can buy from there, with just $10...maybe a pair of flip flops, baby socks, or a zebra scarf... Because the shipping and handling for Old Navy is $7...that's quite a bit for s&h! So if I didn't want to spend cash out of my own pocket, and only wanted to use the $10 gift card, I had to find something $3 or less. Yes, I could have went to the actual Old Navy store that's local here, and I could have used the entire $10 on my order... but I decided to go the online route.
And that's when I found this!

A V-neck Layering Cami in the color "Beach Cruising Green" cute right? I'm not sure if I like the color yet, but I don't own anything this color so I figured it was worth a shot! And it will look great in layers. It's comfortable and super soft. Also tag-free so even better!

Thank you Crowdtap!

Woolzies Dryer Balls Review

Woolzies are Eco-friendly wool dryer balls, handmade purely 100% from New Zealand. They are made to soften your clothes much like dryer sheets do, but these also reduce the drying time by 25%, helping you save money along the way too. They are said to work for at least 1,000 loads so they will last you a long time! They contain no chemicals, are PVC free and are hypoallergenic, making them safe for people with skin sensitivities and they wont shed onto your laundry.

I received a box of 6 Woolzies to review, with them recommending you use all 6 balls in one load (or 8 for an extra large load). They have a vinyl/sheep wool scent to them which I don't really care for, but their instructions say, once the clothes are completely dry, you can add essential oil to two of the balls and throw them back in with the other 4, then run on Air fluff for 10 minutes, to give your clothes a good scent. I didn't have any essential oils on hand so I wasn't able to try this out yet, but I'd imagine it would work pretty good! I was excited to read that the Woolzie balls reduce drying time by 25-30% because using apartment launder facilities cost a bit of quarters each month, and I love the idea of saving money! So in one load, I did one quarter less, which is 15 minutes off of drying time, hoping the Woolzies would dry my clothes fast...but...it didn't work :( I didn't notice Woolzies helping my load dry any different but I did find that they remove any hairs or lint from your clothing! I love that! Being a woman with long hair, it tends to collect on clothing but the Woolzies collected it for me! I could imagine how well it would work with pet hairs too. Wish we had these awhile back when we had our kitty! But these will come in handy in the future as well, when we have another pet ;) And my clothing came out static free so it seems the Woolzies did their job!

Woolzies are available for purchase on their website, for a box of 6 Woolzie balls for $34.95, with free shipping to anywhere in the U.S.A. (including Hawaii and Alaska) and worldwide shipping at $6.95

Be sure to visit Woolzies on Facebook and Twitter for more information!

belVita Breakfast Biscuit in Golden Oat Review

Now that I reviewed the other 4 belVita flavors, I'm on to the last belVita product to try,
the belVita breakfast biscuits, in Golden Oat.

The breakfast biscuits contain 18g of whole oats. 3g of fiber, 8g of total fat per serving which is 1 pack (4 biscuit crackers), and B vitamins.. They do not contain high fructose corn syrup and are packed with nutrition to sustain your energy all morning.

The more I look into these, the more I began to wonder how good they really are for you. It does make a person wonder when they're found in the cookie isle. I came to the conclusion that these biscuits aren't as healthy as they make a person think, but they might be better then other brands.
As the motto goes "eat in moderation."

belVita comes in 5 different flavors:
And can be found in several grocery stores at the retail price of $3.69
for a box of 5 packets of 4 biscuits.

Find belVita on Facebook and Twitter, as well as their website
